These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FranScout.ai (the "Site") and any reports, data, or content provided through the Site (collectively, the "Services"), operated by Big 9 Ventures LLC, a Nevada limited liability company ("FranScout," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
FranScout provides independent franchise investment intelligence reports ("Reports") generated through our proprietary analysis of publicly available Franchise Disclosure Documents ("FDDs"). Our Reports include a proprietary FranScout Score, dimensional analysis across eight evaluation categories, and narrative assessments designed to help prospective franchise buyers make more informed investment decisions.

The information provided through FranScout, including all Reports, scores, analysis, and content on this Site, is for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this Site constitutes investment advice, financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, or any other form of professional advice.
FranScout Reports are analytical tools designed to supplement — not replace — your own due diligence. A FranScout Score is a proprietary metric reflecting our analysis methodology and should not be interpreted as a recommendation to invest or not invest in any franchise opportunity.
You should always consult with qualified professionals — including a franchise attorney, accountant, and financial advisor — before making any franchise investment decision.
We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, financial planner, or licensed professional of any kind. We do not know your personal financial situation, risk tolerance, or investment objectives. Any decision to invest in a franchise is yours alone.
Reports are available for purchase at the price listed on the Site at the time of purchase. All payments are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By purchasing a Report, you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to these Terms.
All sales are final. Due to the digital nature of our Reports and the immediate delivery of content upon purchase, we do not offer refunds. If you believe there is a material error in a Report you purchased, contact us at support@franscout.ai and we will review your concern.
Upon purchase, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the purchased Report for your own personal, non-commercial evaluation purposes.
You may not: redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share Reports with third parties; reproduce or publish Report content in whole or in substantial part; use Reports to create competing products or services; remove or alter any proprietary notices, scores, or branding from Reports; or use automated means to scrape, download, or extract data from the Site.
Our analysis pipeline uses artificial intelligence, including large language models, to extract data from FDDs and generate narrative assessments. While we employ multiple quality-control layers and our scoring methodology is deterministic, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations of source documents.
FranScout Reports are not a substitute for reading the actual Franchise Disclosure Document. We strongly encourage all prospective franchise buyers to obtain and read the complete FDD for any franchise they are considering.
Our Reports are based on publicly available Franchise Disclosure Documents filed with state regulators. FDDs are prepared by franchisors, not by FranScout. We do not independently verify the accuracy of the data contained in FDDs.
While we strive for accuracy in our extraction and analysis, we make no warranties or representations regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or currentness of any information in our Reports. FDD data may be outdated if the franchisor has filed a more recent disclosure document that we have not yet processed.
All content on this Site — including but not limited to the FranScout Score, scoring methodology, dimensional analysis framework, Report templates, text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of Big 9 Ventures LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
"FranScout" and the FranScout logo are trademarks of Big 9 Ventures LLC.
If you submit a Franchise Disclosure Document to FranScout through our FDD submission feature, you represent that you have the right to share the document and that the submission does not violate any confidentiality agreement. Submitted FDDs are used solely for the purpose of generating Reports and improving our analysis capabilities.
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party content, products, or services.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Big 9 Ventures LLC and its members, managers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or investment opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Site or reliance on any Report or information provided through the Services.
Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to FranScout in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
The Site and all Reports are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Big 9 Ventures LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your reliance on any Report for investment decisions.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Big 9 Ventures LLC regarding your use of the Site and Services.
